“Whoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world. And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.” Jerusalem Talmud
“… Whoever kills an innocent soul.. it is as if he killed the whole of mankind, And whoever saves one, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind” Qur’an 5:32
Muslims United has begun a campaign which aims to address the negative perceptions and stereotypes of Islam and British Muslims. On 6th July, full page advertisements in national broadsheet and tabloid newspapers aimed to disassociate a coalition of Muslim organisations with terrorism and violence. Further phases of this campaign are planned to comabat racism and Islamophobia and to engage diverse communities in interaction.
If we each searched our souls for “Not in my name” actions, how would the world be?
